The Species of Gros Morne
The Food Web is made up of producers and consumers. Producers are autotrophs, meaning they create their own food, usually through the means of Photosynthesis. Consumers are organisms that are unable to synthesize their own food, so they consume other organims. Another term for consumers are
heterotrophs.
There are 3 levels of consumers; primary, secondary, and tertiary. Primary consumers eat the producers, Secondary consumers eat the primary ones, and Tertiary consumers eat the secondary ones.
